Beneficial intestinal bacteria

31 Oct 2018 wellness-studio.co.uk

Beneficial intestinal bacteria The intestinal microflora is a collection of microorganisms, whose vital activity is closely interrelated.
In total, scientists have found about 500 different types of bacteria in the intestines. But not all of them were useful.
Useful intestinal bacteria are those that help our body digest food, absorb proteins, vitamins and other beneficial substances. But the main food of harmful bacteria are the products of fermentation. Besides, these harmful microbes secrete poisons of rotting processes. If we talk about the importance of intestinal microflora, it can be compared with the functioning of the liver and kidneys combined.
Beneficial microflora in our bodies are represented by beneficial intestinal bacteria: lactobacilli, bifidobacteria, enterococci, and many other microorganisms, which constitute almost ninety-nine per cent of all intestine inhabitants. But the remaining one per cent are opportunistic bacteria. Proteus, Staphylococcus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and many others are on their list. At the same time, if the patients intestine is entirely healthy, then there is no pathogenic microflora in it.
Interestingly, the intestinal microflora begins to develop at the time of birth. And its development ends in all people, usually at different ages. But, as a rule, it is from seven to twelve years old.
A healthy microflora ensures the proper quality functioning of all body systems. Therefore, in case of violation, it is vital to restore the probiotic population as soon as possible. Without a healthy microflora, there will be no proper digestion, which means there may be various problems with the gastrointestinal tract.

Useful intestinal bacteria and causes of microflora disorders

Beneficial intestinal bacteria do not allow various putrefactive bacteria to develop in the intestine and also neutralise toxins secreted by them.
It is good to know that a healthy microflora contributes to the formation of immunoglobulin, which is necessary for strong immunity in children and adults.
If the intestinal microorganisms are in imbalance, it often leads to premature ageing of our body, because the toxins secreted by harmful bacteria, destroy the health and beauty of a person.
Our intestines are populated by various bacteria. We know of such common causes of microflora disruption as:
  • Unhealthy nutrition.
  • A long course of taking various drugs such as antibiotics and antiseptics.
  • Medical or self-cleansing of the intestines, as a result of which harmful bacteria as well as valuable "good" microorganisms can be destroyed.
  • Weakened immune system for various reasons.
  • Excessive cleanliness and abuse of antibacterial cosmetics, which destroy pathogenic as well as beneficial microorganisms.
  • Hormonal disruptions.
  • The use of dirty low-quality water.
  • Abuse of energy drinks and strong coffee.
  • Chronic fatigue and lack of sleep.
  • Emotional experiences, nerves and stress.
As may be noted, there can be a vast number of various causes of dysbacteriosis (violation of intestinal microflora). Therefore, in most cases for quality treatment, it is necessary first of all to eliminate the root cause of the problem.
