Good bacteria

1 Nov 2018 wellness-studio.co.uk

Good bacteria We come in contact with millions and millions of very different bacteria every day. Despite the prevailing opinion, not all of them are potentially dangerous to health. On the contrary, most bacteria can provide invaluable help to our body. Let's see what good bacteria are in our gut.
L. acidophilus.
It is a permanent inhabitant of our digestive system. It feels great at a temperature of 35-38 C and in conditions of lack of oxygen.
Good Acidophilus bacteria help to restore the microflora of the bowels, which can be disturbed as a result of stress or antibiotics. It is the most widespread bacterium found in dairy products, it multiplies in an acidic environment and protects the intestinal tract from harmful substances.
These bacteria are most useful for improving the immune system, have a beneficial effect on the functioning of the stomach and intestines, reduce cholesterol levels and normalise the performance of the intestinal tract.
Bifidobacterium longum
An anaerobic bacterium that also lives in the human intestine. It ensures the normal functioning of the digestive system, slows the growth of harmful bacteria and stimulates the immune system. It is used as a remedy for diarrhoea after the use of antibiotics.
It is found in fermented milk products, fermented vegetables. It ferments sugar and lowers the pH level in the intestinal tract, reduces the level of cholesterol in the body.

Good bacteria: examples

Bifidobacterium longum is the bacteria that is already found as one of the first in the intestines of newborns and infants. In Japan, scientists are studying the use of this bacterium in the treatment of cancer.
Streptococcus Thermophilus
Anaerobic lactic acid bacteria, which is used in the production of many dairy products (found, for example, in the composition of yoghurt or mozzarella).
These good bacteria are used in the treatment of lactose intolerance and other chronic diseases of the digestive system, including gastritis.
Bifidobacterium Lactis (B.animalis)
An anaerobic bacterium that can found in the intestinal tract and produces lactic acid, reducing the pH level. Improves the bowels, prevents constipation, helps with diarrhoea, especially useful in babies.
Bifidobacterium animalis increases the level of IgA in the intestines, thus helping to fight rotaviruses. Besides, it helps with inflammation, improves the immune system and the body's response to pathogenic bacteria.
Cleansing the intestines in our clinic in London will help restore the intestinal microflora.
