Colon hydrotherapy in Glastonbury or Warwick. Siphon colonic irrigation

Siphon colonic irrigation empties the intestine and removes faecal matter, mucus and gases. Technically, therapists need a unique installation to carry out the procedure. Moreover, they can use mineralised water to wash the intestine.

Colonic irrigation as a healing procedure and an integral part of practising medicine has a centuries-old history. However, it acquired a scientific justification only from the end of the XVIII to the beginning of the XIX century.

Method

The procedure improves the well-being of patients and eliminates the puffiness of the face. It helps to cleanse the skin from various rashes, including those caused by an allergic reaction, increasing the skin’s elasticity. Colonic also helps to reduce the overweight of patients without any special diet or fasting and significantly lowers cholesterol in the blood.

This method combined the advantages of cleansing and Siphon colonic irrigation and eliminated their shortcomings. For example, an increase in abdominal pressure may lead to the development of intestinal atony.

The procedure of siphon colonic irrigation

The intestinal mucosa is the most complex organ of exchange between intestinal contents and the body’s internal environment. Hence, cleaning the intestine is, firstly, eliminating the pathological process from the gut. Besides, that pathological process may be the source of infection for the whole body. Moreover, the colonic may stabilise the microflora and electrolyte balance in the gut.

Conversely, a healthy intestine should serve us to remove endotoxins from the body in various diseases of the internal organs. After the cleansing enema, the patient will lie on the couch on his back or right side with his knees bent up and the speculum in the rectum.

Procedure

After filling the intestine with water, you should wait 2-3 minutes. And then withdraw water from the colon through the speculum hose by switching the three-way tap. Simultaneously, you can introduce from 0.5 to 1.0 litres of solution into the colon and use 6 to 9 litres during the procedure.

For washing the intestine, therapists use mineralised water with a temperature of 32-38°C. We usually recommend a course of 3 or 4 colonics at 1 or 2 days between treatments.

Siphon colonic irrigation is performed in our London clinic under specialists’ supervision.
