WHAT ARE THEY?

As the skin ages, it gradually loses some of its collagen, hyaluronic acid and fat. These are the materials that prevent the skin from becoming droopy or saggy. Dermal fillers help to restore our skin to its former youthful appearance. We inject this material into the skin in areas you need to plump up again and look firmer.

Which one do you use?

There are many kinds of fillers, and new ones are coming onto the market every day. Generally, they consist of either collagen or hyaluronic acid and last 6-12 months. Some common brand names include Teosyal, Restylane, Hydrafill, Juvederm and Radiesse. We use Teosyal, an Award-winning 100% hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler.

We use it as a non-animal product, Dermal Fillers. It causes less pain and swelling on injection. Moreover, it is very versatile and has a superb safety record. Furthermore, it is temporary, allowing you to reassess your needs in 6-12 months. Clinicians injected over 600,000 syringes before January 2008. Less than 1 in 20,000 reported any short-term and mild side effects.

Which areas can be treated with Dermal Fillers?

  • Nasolabial lines (nose to cheek lines)
  • Diagonal lines from the corner of the mouth (marionette lines)
  • Vertical lines around the mouth (smokers' lines)
  • Frown lines
  • Horizontal brow lines
  • Scar treatment (including acne scars)

Does it hurt?

The injections usually last under 5 minutes. The needle is incredibly tiny, and pain is usually not an issue, especially after the numbing cream.

What are the possible side effects of dermal fillers?

These are incredibly safe injections. There may be slight redness and swelling at the injection site. Occasionally, there may be some minor bruising. This bruising generally subsides over 72 hours. You can avoid lumps at the injection site by massaging the product.

When will I see the results, and how long will it last?

The results are visible immediately. The correction degree depends on the patient's wishes and the amount of product used. The result is that dermal fillers usually last 6-12 months.

The Eight Points Facelift! It's a popular non-surgical cosmetic treatment uses dermal fillers to achieve a subtle yet effective rejuvenation of the mid-face and lower face.

Here's how it works:

  • Eight key injection points: The treatment targets eight facial areas that lose volume and elasticity with age. These points are typically located in the cheeks, temples, tear troughs, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and jawline.
  • Dermal filler magic: By strategically injecting hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers into these areas, the Eight Points Facelift can:
    • Restore lost volume: This plumps up the skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and lines.
    • Lift and contour: The fillers can subtly lift and redefine the facial features, creating a more youthful appearance.
    • Smooth and revitalised: The hyaluronic acid in the fillers also hydrates the skin, giving it a smoother and more radiant look.

Here are some of the benefits of the Eight Points Facelift:

  • Minimal downtime: The treatment is quick and minimally invasive, with most patients able to return to their normal activities immediately afterwards.
  • Natural-looking results: When performed by a skilled practitioner, the Eight Points Facelift can achieve a natural look that enhances your existing features without making you look "done."
  • Long-lasting results: The treatment's effects can last up to 18 months, depending on the type of filler used and your metabolism.
  • Customisable: The treatment can be tailored to your individual needs and goals. Your practitioner will discuss your desired outcome and recommend the best type of filler and injection technique for you.

Here are some things to keep in mind:

  • The Eight Points Facelift is not a one-size-fits-all treatment. It's essential to consult a qualified practitioner to determine if it's right for you and discuss your goals.
  • Dermal fillers are not permanent. You will need to have repeat treatments to maintain the results.
  • There are some risks associated with dermal filler injections. These risks are usually mild and temporary, but awareness is essential before treatment.

If you're considering the Eight Points Facelift, I encourage you to research and find a reputable practitioner with experience with this type of treatment. You can also ask your friends or family members for recommendations.

A contraindication is when you should not consider dermal fillers:

  • Pregnancy
  • Breastfeeding
  • Skin infection near the site of injection
  • Allergy to hyaluronic acid
  • Taking warfarin
  • Suppose you were taking clopidogrel, aspirin, high-dose vitamin C or omega-three oils. You may need to stop those one week before your appointment, as long as it is not a medical contraindication.
  • Avoid wearing make-up until the next day to keep the area clean.
  • Do not use sunbeds, sauna, or steam room until any swelling has resolved after Dermal Fillers.
