We’d like to report on what should be the nutrition of a COVID-19 patient like and advise to avoid some foods.

If a person has had a viral infection, he may complain of weakness, malaise, and decreased performance for a week. We do not advise such patients to consume fatty foods or drink strong alcohol.

Alkalising colonic irrigation with sodium bicarbonate

Safe and effective colon hydrotherapy includes an initial consultation. Consequently, sodium bicarbonate delivered to the colon through hydrotherapy can kill off candida.

In the period of post influenza asthenia, it is best to switch to a fortified diet, eat fresh fruits and vegetables, drink rosehip infusion, which within a few days will lead to the restoration of normal health and increased tone.

We also recommend that people who have problems with blood pressure take an extract of Eleutherococcus along with rose hips. To do this, add 30–40 drops of the tincture to a glass of rosehip infusion and consume it twice a day.

After such techniques, the recovery process goes faster. After illness, the main emphasis in food should be on protein products and consume fewer carbohydrates.

Sweets, sugar, fatty foods impair the protective functions of the body. It is worth giving up hot drinks. If it is tea, then it should be warm, not boiling. During this period, the mucous membrane is already irritated.

Therefore, we take any liquid substances exclusively in a cooled state. In general, exclude caffeinated drinks, replacing them with slightly acidic ones: milk, yoghurt, kefir or warm water with lemon. A weak elderberry infusion is also suitable.

I’d like to note that protein foods, which are the main component of our immune defence, should be light. These can be low-fat types of boiled meat like poultry meat. It contains easily digestible fats.

Besides, vegetable oils are necessary after the illness for the synthesis of prostaglandins the anti-inflammatory components. You can also use sunflower, corn, or nut oil. They contain polyunsaturated fatty acids essential for the nutrition of COVID-19 patient.

Another essential component that will help remove toxins from the body is water. There is a simple formula to determine the amount of fluid required for a full recovery: 30-40 millilitres per 1 kilogram of body weight. Thus, if a person weighs 70 kilograms(11 stones), the minimum amount of liquid to drink is 2.8 litres per day.
