Dermal fillers for Smile or Marionette lines

(1 customer reviews)
Smiling and marionette lines are common signs of ageing and can make one look older than their actual age. We can help reduce the appearance of these lines by using dermal fillers with a 1 ml Teosyal Syringe. This treatment is available at our Chiswick facilities and typically lasts up to sixty minutes. The first step of the treatment involves cleansing the treated area. Next, the doctor injects the filler into the targeted area. The filler helps temporarily restore the area's volume, smoothing out the wrinkles. Once the filler has been injected, the doctor will massage the area to ensure the product is distributed correctly. The doctor will then evaluate the results and may make additional injections if needed. After the procedure, there may be some redness, swelling, and bruising around the treatment area. However, these symptoms typically dissipate within a few days. Dermal fillers can help reduce the appearance of smile and marionette lines, making one look and feel more youthful. Depending on the type of filler used, the treatment results can last anywhere from six to twelve months. Finding an experienced doctor with a good track record is essential to ensuring a safe and successful outcome. At our Chiswick facilities, our team of experts can deliver a natural-looking result that will help you look and feel years younger.

FAQ

WHAT ARE THEY?

As the skin ages, it gradually loses some of its collagen, hyaluronic acid, and fat. These materials prevent the skin from becoming droopy or saggy. Dermal fillers help restore our skin to its former youthful appearance. We inject this material into the skin in areas that need to plump up again and look firmer.

Which one do you use?

There are many kinds of fillers, and new ones are coming onto the market every day. Generally, they consist of either collagen or hyaluronic acid and last 6-12 months. Some common brand names include Teosyal, Restylane, Hydrafill, Juvederm and Radiesse. We use Teosyal, an Award-winning 100% hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler.

We use dermal fillers as a non-animal product. They cause less pain and swelling on injection. Moreover, they are very versatile and have a superb safety record. Furthermore, they are temporary, allowing you to reassess your needs in 6-12 months. Clinicians injected over 600,000 syringes before January 2008. Less than 1 in 20,000 reported any short-term and mild side effects.

Which areas can be treated with Dermal Fillers?

  • Nasolabial lines (nose to cheek lines)
  • Diagonal lines from the corner of the mouth (marionette lines)
  • Vertical lines around the mouth (smokers' lines)
  • Frown lines
  • Horizontal brow lines
  • Scar treatment (including acne scars)

Does it hurt?

The injections usually last under 5 minutes. The needle is incredibly tiny, and pain is usually not an issue, especially after the numbing cream.

What are the possible side effects of dermal fillers?

These are incredibly safe injections. There may be slight redness, swelling at the injection site, and occasionally minor bruising. This bruising generally subsides over 72 hours. You can avoid lumps at the injection site by massaging the product.

When will I see the results, and how long will it last?

The results are visible immediately. The degree of correction depends on the patient's wishes and the amount of product used. The result is that dermal fillers usually last 6-12 months.

Restrictions

A contraindication is when you should not consider dermal fillers:

  • Pregnancy
  • Breastfeeding
  • Skin infection near the site of injection
  • Allergy to hyaluronic acid
  • Taking warfarin
  • Suppose you were taking clopidogrel, aspirin, high-dose vitamin C or omega-three oils. You may need to stop those one week before your appointment, as long as it is not a medical contraindication.
  • Avoid wearing make-up until the next day to keep the area clean.
  • Do not use sunbeds, sauna, or steam room until any swelling has resolved after Dermal Fillers.
