Mini Detox PLUS – 3 Colonic Irrigation Course in London
Mini Detox PLUS is our structured three-session colon hydrotherapy programme at Parkland Natural Health in Holborn, Central London. Each appointment uses closed-system, gravity-fed colon hydrotherapy with filtered, temperature-controlled water and sodium bicarbonate, while a different specialist component is added at each visit.
The programme is usually arranged over about one week, subject to suitability and appointment availability. Each visit includes consultation or review, suitability screening, the colonic procedure and aftercare guidance.
Mini Detox PLUS is the established name of this programme. We use “detox” as a product name rather than as a claim that colon hydrotherapy removes unspecified toxins from the body or treats disease.
What is included in the three sessions?
Session 1 – Sodium bicarbonate colonic + Anti-Parasite herbal implant
The first appointment combines sodium bicarbonate colon hydrotherapy with the professional Practitioner Supplies Anti-Parasite herbal formulation. The blend contains wormwood, German chamomile, walnut leaf and clove bud.
This is a complementary herbal option. It does not diagnose, eradicate or cure a human parasitic infection. If you suspect worms or another parasitic infection, appropriate medical assessment and treatment remain important.
Read more about the formulation, evidence and safety boundaries on our Anti-Parasite Herbal Implant & Colonic Irrigation page.
Session 2 – Sodium bicarbonate colonic + Liver & Gallbladder herbal implant
The second appointment combines sodium bicarbonate colon hydrotherapy with Practitioner Supplies Enema Herbs. The current professional blend contains red clover, raspberry leaf, burdock root, yellow dock and German chamomile.
The supplier describes traditional liver- and gallbladder-focused use for this formulation. However, this should not be interpreted as evidence that a rectal herbal implant treats or cures liver or gallbladder disease.
See the full ingredient and research information on our Liver & Gallbladder Herbal Colonic Irrigation page.
Session 3 – Sodium bicarbonate colonic + Probiotic implant
The third appointment combines sodium bicarbonate colon hydrotherapy with our high-strength probiotic implant. This is offered as a specialist post-colonic option for clients who specifically want a probiotic component as part of their programme.
Evidence for probiotics depends on the exact strains, dose, route of administration and condition being studied. Therefore, we do not claim that a rectal probiotic implant permanently recolonises the bowel, prevents Candida overgrowth or treats a gastrointestinal disorder.
For the current formulation and detailed information, see our Probiotic Implant & Sodium Bicarbonate Colonic Irrigation page.
Why are the appointments repeated?
Some clients prefer a short course rather than a single appointment because it allows their therapist to review comfort, bowel response and individual priorities across more than one visit.
Medical research has also examined repeated transanal irrigation in people with chronic constipation and/or faecal incontinence. A 2025 systematic review included 16 studies involving 1,567 people. Most studies were observational and reported some improvement in symptoms, quality of life or both, but only one underpowered randomised trial was available. The authors concluded that better randomised evidence is still needed.
Scientific source: PubMed PMID 41168141 – Transanal irrigation: Bridging the gap in treatment for chronic constipation and/or faecal incontinence.
A 2026 prospective multicentre observational study also reported improved bowel-function satisfaction, quality of life and constipation severity among adults prescribed transanal irrigation. However, the study was not randomised and relied on patient-reported outcomes.
Scientific source: PubMed PMID 42011892 – Transanal Irrigation in Functional Constipation: Long-term Results From an Italian National Study.
Important evidence boundary: these studies concern medical transanal-irrigation protocols and are not identical to professional colon hydrotherapy at Parkland Natural Health. They provide clinical context for repeated bowel irrigation, but they do not prove that three professional colonics are superior to one session or that the Mini Detox PLUS sequence produces the same outcomes.
Why is sodium bicarbonate used in all three sessions?
Sodium bicarbonate is a specialist option used in several of our colonic treatments. Laboratory studies have demonstrated antifungal activity against fungal isolates, including yeasts.
Scientific source: PubMed PMID 22991095 – Antifungal activity of sodium bicarbonate.
Laboratory antifungal activity does not prove that sodium bicarbonate delivered during colon hydrotherapy removes intestinal Candida, treats intestinal candidiasis or cures a fungal infection. We therefore use sodium bicarbonate as a specialist treatment option without making infection-treatment claims.
You can also read about sodium bicarbonate as a standalone option on our Sodium Bicarbonate Colonic Irrigation page.
What happens during each appointment?
Your therapist reviews your health information and suitability before treatment. We use a closed-system, gravity-fed colon hydrotherapy set-up with filtered, temperature-controlled water. Your therapist remains with you throughout the procedure and adjusts the water flow according to your comfort and response.
We may also use gentle abdominal massage where appropriate. Water, gas and bowel contents leave through enclosed tubing. We incorporate the relevant herbal or probiotic component according to our professional clinic protocol.
If this is your first colonic, read our What to Expect from Colonic Hydrotherapy guide before booking.
How should I prepare?
A quick tip: don’t drink any liquids two hours before your procedure. Besides, do not take laxatives or drink coffee before and after treatment. However, you don’t need to fast before or after visiting us.
You can eat normally, although many clients prefer not to have a particularly heavy meal immediately before the appointment. If a laxative is part of prescribed medical treatment, do not change prescribed medication without appropriate medical advice; contact us before your appointment if you are unsure.
Who should not choose Mini Detox PLUS?
Colon hydrotherapy is not suitable for everyone. In addition, the herbal formulations used within this programme have their own restrictions. Practitioner Supplies states that the Anti-Parasite and Enema Herbs preparations are not suitable during planned pregnancy, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and are not suitable for children.
The Anti-Parasite formulation also lists tree nuts as an allergen. Please tell us before booking if you have a tree-nut or walnut allergy, any known sensitivity to the herbal ingredients, significant abdominal pain, rectal bleeding, recent surgery or other relevant medical conditions.
For full screening guidance, see our Colonic Irrigation Contraindications and Restrictions page. If screening shows that the programme is not appropriate for you, we will not proceed and will issue a full refund.
Is this course right for me?
Mini Detox PLUS may suit clients who already know they want a three-session programme and would like to experience three different specialist components rather than booking three identical colonics.
If you prefer three straightforward sessions without the additional herbal and probiotic sequence, see our Mini Detox – 3 Colonic Irrigation Course. If you prefer three sodium bicarbonate sessions without the full PLUS sequence, see our Sodium Bicarbonate Mini Detox – 3 Colonic Irrigations.
You can also compare all colonic irrigation treatments and packages before booking.

Patrick Cavendish (verified owner) –
I was very constipated after major abdominal surgery and was encouraged by doctors to take laxatives. I didn’t want to do this so I decided to get colonic hydrotherapy. I’ve had several sessions with Antoli to help my gut get back to normal. The probiotic implant is a complete game changer. My stomach is calmer than it’s been in years and my energy levels are so much better. Really reccomend !

Going to Parkland Natural Health every month has made an amazing change in my life. Talking with Anatoli, the owner of Parkland Natural Health, about the benefits of colonics has really helped me understand what I am doing. We usually end up in the best conversations concerning our bodies. Our conversations revolve around digestion, food, health and more. I never have to worry about not understanding a certain issue, as he always makes the time to answer any questions or concerns that I have. Not only that, he offers me healthy recipes that are very beneficial to my overall well-being. With such a pleasant atmosphere and clean office and colonic rooms, I know that I am in safe hands
