FAQ

WHAT ARE THEY?

As the skin ages, it gradually loses some of its collagen, hyaluronic acid, and fat. These materials prevent the skin from becoming droopy or saggy. Dermal fillers help restore our skin to its former youthful appearance. We inject this material into the skin in areas that need to plump up again and look firmer.

Which one do you use?

There are many kinds of fillers, and new ones are coming onto the market every day. Generally, they consist of either collagen or hyaluronic acid and last 6-12 months. Some common brand names include Teosyal, Restylane, Hydrafill, Juvederm and Radiesse. We use Teosyal, an Award-winning 100% hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler.

We use dermal fillers as a non-animal product. They cause less pain and swelling on injection. Moreover, they are very versatile and have a superb safety record. Furthermore, they are temporary, allowing you to reassess your needs in 6-12 months. Clinicians injected over 600,000 syringes before January 2008. Less than 1 in 20,000 reported any short-term and mild side effects.

Which areas can be treated with Dermal Fillers?

  • Nasolabial lines (nose to cheek lines)
  • Diagonal lines from the corner of the mouth (marionette lines)
  • Vertical lines around the mouth (smokers' lines)
  • Frown lines
  • Horizontal brow lines
  • Scar treatment (including acne scars)

Does it hurt?

The injections usually last under 5 minutes. The needle is incredibly tiny, and pain is usually not an issue, especially after the numbing cream.

What are the possible side effects of dermal fillers?

These are incredibly safe injections. There may be slight redness, swelling at the injection site, and occasionally minor bruising. This bruising generally subsides over 72 hours. You can avoid lumps at the injection site by massaging the product.

When will I see the results, and how long will it last?

The results are visible immediately. The degree of correction depends on the patient's wishes and the amount of product used. The result is that dermal fillers usually last 6-12 months.

Benefits

Dermal Roller SR™ is a precision-engineered handheld medical device with a microneedle. It helps combat the appearance of scars, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, stretch marks, cellulite and even hair loss. Skin micro-needling encourages Collagen and Elastin production within the skin. It also helps to reduce the appearance of skin imperfections, making the skin smoother, brighter, healthier and younger-looking.

Dermal Roller SR, Moisturiser, Liposome, Dermabrasion, Up to 3000% increased absorbency, Moisture absorption after Microneedle therapy.
Dermal Roller SR™ uses 192 micro-needles to part the pores on the top layer of the skin without damaging them. The pores close approximately an hour after using the Roller. During that time, your skin's ability to soak up the nutrients of skin creams and lotions will increase.

They make Dermal Roller SR™ from surgical steel from Japan of the highest quality medical grade stainless steel available. Our Dermal Roller SR™ also contains the smallest nickel on the market. So, incidents with allergies are almost impossible.

Dermal Roller SR™ has similar results to laser treatment, chemical peels, and dermabrasion but is considerably less invasive. It is suitable for all skin types and is okay for sensitive areas such as around the eyes, the neck, and hands. It does not damage the epidermis and melanocytes in the skin, thereby minimising the possibility of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Both men and women can use it.

Using the Dermal Roller SR™, pinpoint punctures are made, temporarily pushing the pores open. The body responds by initiating the healing process by releasing growth factors and triggering the production of Collagen and Elastin in the skin. By persistently activating the healing process using the Dermal Roller SR™, the body continues to heal itself until it achieves the desired cosmetic level of skin repair.

Your practitioner will use a topical anaesthetic to numb the skin, making the procedure comfortable. The topical anaesthetic will typically take up to 30 minutes to work and 20 – 30 minutes for the Micro-needle therapy procedure.

After the use of the Dermal Roller SR™

After using the Dermal Roller SR™, your body will naturally regenerate and repair the skin, working below the surface in the dermis. New collagen formation takes time as the body generates new skin cells and enhances blood supply. It can take up to 6 weeks to see visible signs of regeneration and repair. Besides, the process will continue over the following months, providing you with a natural and long-lasting enhancement.
We typically recommend a series of three Dermal Roller SR™ procedures with approximately six weeks between them. In treating acne scars and other types of scarring, having up to five courses may be necessary.

Immediately after the treatment, you will look like you have moderate sunburn, and your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. It will start to subside after one to two hours and will usually recover within the same day with only slight redness the following day.

Side effects

Possible slight skin swelling will also usually subside in a day or two. Another side effect is a potential Retinol reaction (redness, flaking, burning or stinging) due to increased Vitamin A penetration. It is not harmful, just unpleasant and will subside.

After the procedure, your practitioner will apply professional moisturising cream/lotion to help soothe and calm the skin. Continue to use until the redness has cleared. We will apply a broad-spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen with an SPF of 30+. Apply daily for at least two weeks, even during the winter or on cloudy days.

Use tepid water to cleanse the face for 48 hours and dry gently. Always make sure your hands are clean when touching the treated area. We recommend not applying makeup for 12 hours after the procedure. Following the treatment, the skin may feel drier as it regenerates and repairs.

Dermal Roller SR™ is safe. "Non-surgical and non-ablative" means skin-friendly treatment. Patients experience little or no pain, downtime and risk of complications.

Original Dermal Roller SR™ has registration & license. Do not accept treatments done by cheap Rollers with low-quality needles, which may cause skin drag, allergy or skin damage.
