The thread lift is the non-surgical treatment of inserting with a thin needle special dissolvable threads made of Polydioxanone (PDO) into the areas of loosening or sagging skin and sometimes the muscle to tighten the skin.
You may want a tighter, fresher, more youthful look without surgical interventions and extended recovery time. Then, you should seriously consider this treatment.
The PDO threads have a powerful dual effect of immediate lifting and stimulating your body’s Collagen, Elastin and Hyaluronic Acid that can last 1-2 years. The thread dissolves into your body 180 – 240 days after generating new fibrous connective tissue around the thread, which maintains the lift and tightens the skin.
We can implement Polydioxanone Threads lift to the face, neck, décolletage, hands, breasts, inner arms, thighs and other body areas. And we can combine those with Botulinum Toxin, Dermal Fillers, Mesotherapy, PRP and Aqualyx for maximum effect.
At Aesthetic&Wellness, we look to manage treatment discomfort as much as possible. For that, use anaesthetic creams that dramatically reduce the pain of injections. Most patients don’t consider it a painful treatment, but it is not painless.
The threads may cause some patients mild to moderate swelling, redness and bruising. It usually happens if we use threads around sensitive areas due to the injections. It often is mild. But we can’t rule out severe, lasting from a few days to a week to recovery. Applying an ice pack, recovery creams, and mild painkillers such as ibuprofen and paracetamol can eliminate discomfort.
The procedure takes approximately 60 minutes.
“Fillers are for volume. Botox restricts wrinkle-causing muscle movement. And, cosmetic surgery cuts out excess tissue to treat significant laxity,” Dr Frank says. “Thread lifts can’t replace a facelift; however, they can help delay the inevitable in combination with other treatments.”
