What is in the Anti-Parasite herbal implant?

We use Practitioner Supplies Anti-Parasite Tincture, a professional herbal formulation produced specifically for post-colonic implantation. The current supplier formula contains:

• Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium)
• German chamomile (Chamomilla recutita)
• Walnut leaf (Juglans regia)
• Clove bud (Syzygium aromaticum)

The supplier describes the formulation as a parasite-focused herbal preparation for professional use following colon hydrotherapy. However, manufacturer-described and traditional uses should not be interpreted as clinical proof that a rectal herbal implant can eliminate parasites in humans.

What does research say about the herbal ingredients?

There is scientific interest in several of the herbs used in this formulation. Reviews of Artemisia absinthium describe traditional anthelmintic use and experimental antiparasitic and antiprotozoal activity. Research into clove and its principal constituent eugenol has also examined activity against a range of parasites and microorganisms.

Important evidence boundary: much of this research comes from laboratory, animal or pharmacological studies. It does not establish that this particular herbal implant, when used during professional colon hydrotherapy, can eradicate worms, protozoa or other parasites in humans.

Why is sodium bicarbonate included?

Sodium bicarbonate is a separate specialist component used in a number of our colonic treatments. Laboratory studies have demonstrated antifungal activity against fungal isolates, including yeasts, and have examined its effects on Candida albicans.

These findings provide scientific context for the use of sodium bicarbonate, but they do not show that sodium bicarbonate enhances the antiparasitic effect of the herbal implant. Nor do they prove that a bicarbonate colonic removes intestinal Candida or treats intestinal candidiasis.

If you suspect a parasitic infection

Digestive symptoms alone cannot confirm that parasites are present. If you have seen worms or eggs, have persistent diarrhoea or abdominal pain, unexplained weight loss, or have developed symptoms following travel, medical assessment is appropriate.

The NHS explains that suspected worm infections may require examination or a stool sample and, where an infection is confirmed, appropriate antiparasitic medication.

What happens during the appointment?

Your appointment begins with a personal consultation and suitability screening. We use a closed-system, gravity-fed colon hydrotherapy set-up with filtered, temperature-controlled water.

Your therapist remains with you throughout the procedure and can adjust the water flow according to your comfort and response. Gentle abdominal massage may also be used where appropriate. Water, gas and bowel contents leave through enclosed tubing.

The sodium bicarbonate solution and professional herbal preparation are incorporated according to our clinic protocol. We do not reproduce home rectal-use instructions because the implant is used professionally as part of the treatment.

How should I prepare?

A quick tip: don’t drink any liquids two hours before your procedure. Besides, do not take laxatives or drink coffee before and after treatment. However, you don’t need to fast before or after visiting us.

You can eat normally, although many clients prefer not to have a particularly heavy meal immediately before the appointment. If a laxative is part of prescribed medical treatment, do not change prescribed medication without appropriate medical advice; contact us before your appointment if you are unsure.

Who should not choose this treatment?

Colon hydrotherapy is not suitable for everyone. In addition, Practitioner Supplies states that the Anti-Parasite Tincture is not suitable during planned pregnancy, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and it is not suitable for children.

The supplier also lists tree nuts as an allergen. Therefore, please tell us before booking if you have a known tree-nut or walnut allergy.

Please also tell your therapist about medication, significant abdominal pain, rectal bleeding, recent surgery or other relevant medical conditions.
