Acupuncture treatment – 30 minutes

Parkland Natural Health &
Your first visit requires an initial consultation and Acupuncture treatment; it usually lasts 30 minutes. TCM acupuncturist will diagnose based on the collected complete clinical information (including medical history, pulse reading, tongue examination, signs and symptoms information, palpation, etc.).
Individual personalised diagnosis lets practitioners create uniquely personal treatment plans. They include 'the Formula of acupuncture points', the possible use of moxa, cupping, guasha or massage manipulation.
We will discuss any aspect of the chosen procedure, including the after-treatment care. Also, you will need to sign the consent forms.

What does acupuncture include?

The needles can sometimes be stimulated for better therapeutic effect after the needles' insertion, chosen according to the treatment plan.
The retention of needles can take 20-30 minutes. In most cases, we will recommend diet, exercise, and lifestyle to prevent further progress of the existing problems and increase the effectiveness of the natural healing process that follows the acupuncture treatment.
The number of required treatments depends on the condition. So, we will discuss it with you. In most cases, however, it takes several visits.

The needles we use for our treatments are specially made to cause less damage to the patient's skin. A thinner needle also helps the acupuncturist to feel and direct the Chi in the patient's body. Using extra fine needles requires a more refined set of skills than those for general acupuncture. This makes Nano-Acupuncture more accurate and effective.

Bone Setting

The bone setting is one of the five branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and is considered to be the basis for the development of modern chiropractic and osteopathic treatment. The traditional bone setting is a holistic process to address the balance of the skeleton, muscles and joints to relieve pain. Before the advent of chiropractors, osteopaths, and physical therapists, bonesetters were the leading providers of this type of treatment. The bone setting is the manipulation or "setting" of fractured bones, ruptured ligaments and muscles to alleviate an injury. A Chinese Medicine practitioner will treat bone fractures, concussions, sprains and joint dislocations by pulling, repositioning and aligning, avoiding invasive procedures. The objective is to maintain the wholeness of the body. Body pain can be caused by incorrectly stressed, overextended or blocked areas such as the spine or joints and related glands. For pains such as back pain, sprains or concussions, Chinese Medicine considers bone setting more effective than light exercise or physiotherapy.

Cupping and Massage

Traditional Chinese medicinal practice and Tui Na therapy involve the healing art of touch with scientific manipulation of the body's soft tissue structures to release the existing tension, returning them to natural alignment and contributing to a sense of general well-being. This is a form of therapy in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, and other treatments, to affect the health and well-being of the client positively and consists of manual techniques that include using fixed or movable pressure, holding, and causing movement of or to the body and applying pressure to the body. Benefits include:
  • Improvement in the circulation of blood, metabolism and functioning of the lymph glands
  • Expelling waste products from the cells
  • Easing pain from an injury
  • Cleansing tissues to shorten recuperation time
  • Greater flexibility and range of movement and an increase in the ease and efficiency of joints
  • Improvement in posture
  • Promotion of deeper and easier breathing
  • Enhancement in the health and nourishment of skin
  • Reduction of stress
  • Reduction in levels of anxiety
  • A feeling of well-being
  • Increased awareness of the mind-body connection.

The basic principles of cosmetic facial acupuncture

Balance Yin and Yang: We can divide everything into Yin and Yang; the human body also works based on this principle. When Yin and Yang become imbalanced, sickness may be the result.
Therefore, if the facial bones are unbalanced and asymmetrical, we can address it through cosmetic acupuncture.

Some facial issues may be the result of poor circulation. We can also treat that. Using the acupuncture needle as a medium, unblocking the inner energy within the facial tissues nourishes the affected area. It removes waste or toxic substances so that the skin will look fresh. As the internal energy is stimulated within the facial muscles, they will be uplifted.

We can apply Nano acupuncture to:

  • Double Chin
  • Sagging Skin
  • Dull and Dry Skin
  • Winkles
  • Lines around the Eyes
  • Acne
  • Pigmentation
  • Eye Bags
  • Dark Circles
  • Edema
  • Bingo Wings
  • Swollen Feet and Ankles
  • Stretch Marks
  • Belly Muscle Tightening
  1. The results are instant.
  2. The procedures are safe, with no side effects or surgical procedures.
  3. There is no age limit suitable for clients of any age.
  4. The effects are visible.
  5. Chi adjustments throughout your body can increase health and make the body absorb more nutrients, including skin care products.
  6. Detoxification – the process speeds up the excretion of harmful substances or residues.

The stages of acupuncture beauty treatment:

1) Chi and Blood circulation levels.

Chi and blood are the general terms for the energy inside the human body.
When Chi and blood flow well, a good metabolism is promoted, and there is improvement in all body circulation – the blood circulation system, the lymphatic circulation system and the interstitial fluid circulation system.

If Chi and blood circulation flow are not good, the results are:

  • Dull skin – dark or pale;
  • Dry skin – flaking or cracked;
  • Skin toxins accumulate into dark particles;
  • Water retention and facial puffiness;
  • Dark circles;
  • Bags under the eyes.

Acupuncture effects:

  1. Hydration of the skin;
  2. Improved skin tone, balanced facial colour;
  3. Skin pigment becomes lighter;
  4. Fine lines are reduced or eliminated;
  5. Skin condition restored to young, shiny and elastic;
  6. Facial contours and structure become visible.

2) Skin level

Back to youth

The needle stimulates the deep skin and reaches the dermis, causing the body to be traumatised, thus enabling the function of body repair and producing collagen. At the same time, the elasticity of the facial muscles is increased so that the skin is firm and smooth as it is reborn.

3) Muscle level

Sagging muscle lifting.

Needle and bone-setting techniques adjust over-relaxed or over-tightened facial muscles to restore balance.

Muscle and bone imbalances can cause:

  • Asymmetrical muscular imbalance
  • Imbalanced eyebrows
  • Irregular shaping of the eyes
  • Droopy eyelids
  • Skewing of the nose
  • Poor shaping of the nose bridge
  • Asymmetrical mouth musculature
  • Overly high cheekbones
  • Double chin

4) Detox and Restoration level

The accumulation of harmful substances in the face is caused by low metabolism. Therefore, if the blood and Chi (circulation) are strengthened, it will help the body to discharge harmful residues.
As time goes by, our body’s metabolism slows down, and various harmful residues remain in the body, creating multiple problems.

Acupuncture can help detoxify. The residue is naturally excreted from the body, activating the body’s restoration function.

After a few sessions, you may experience the above stages simultaneously or only two or three. This is normal. After all, everybody is different. You should review your diet and lifestyle and arrange periodic acupuncture to improve your facial skin rapidly.

Healing period:

Generally, improvement can be seen immediately, but if the effects are to last, treatments need to be undertaken, preferably six to ten times. Initially, a consultation with a TCM doctor will identify the nature and cause of any issues, and a diagnosis will be made. A course of treatment can then be recommended.
