WHAT WILL THIS TEST FIND OUT?

The Premium Food Intolerance Test is our most comprehensive food and drink test. Firstly, the test analyses your IgG antibody reactions to 208 food and drink ingredients. Secondly, the results of this test will highlight your food triggers and help you formulate an IgG-guided elimination diet together. Moreover, telephone consultations with our BANT registered nutritional therapists are available for extra post-test support.

HOW DOES THE FOOD intolerance test WORK?

The test is simple, and you can do it with our practitioner's supervision in our Holborn clinic. We need a small blood sample you or your practitioner obtained with a simple finger prick. The laboratory will then analyse IgG antibody reactions in the blood under the influence of 208 food and drink ingredients. Besides, your client's kit includes a step-by-step guide on how to take the test.

HOW ACCURATE ARE THE RESULTS?

To sum up, the YorkTest laboratory is in the house and state of the art. YorkTest's experienced and qualified team, led by Scientific Director Dr Gill Hart, are proud of its high level of reproducibility, which currently stands at >98%. In short, the results of two food intolerance tests analysed simultaneously with the same blood sample will match >98% of the time.

What does it measure?

Food intolerance can occur when the body has difficulty digesting certain foods. When this happens over time, large food particles (proteins) may enter the bloodstream, and this can cause inflammation. When the digestive system processes foods and drinks, it breaks down the proteins into smaller fragments for easy absorption into the body. Larger particles can pass through without breaking down. Therefore, sometimes the body reacts by attacking them using Immunoglobulin G's (IgG) antibodies. Food intolerance can cause many disruptive symptoms, such as digestive problems, eczema, migraines and headaches, fatigue, depression, low mood, joint pains, and sinusitis.

A word on Intolerance and Allergy

The terms "food intolerance" and "food allergy" are often confused and are very different. Also, a genuine food allergy is relatively rare. Besides, only about 2% of the adult population is affected. In short, a food allergy is a swift response by the body's immune system to a specific food. In this reaction, the body's immune system mistakes food for an 'invader', which often results in a rapid allergic reaction, usually within minutes, but generally within two hours. Moreover, this allergic reaction is commonly associated with responses to peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs and seafood. Food intolerance is quite different from a food allergy, and while the symptoms can impact the person's quality of life, they are not life-threatening. Food intolerances are much more common than food allergies.

How food intolerances can hinder weight loss

Before taking a Lorisian Test, Lauren suffered from Eczema for many years. She also experienced digestive discomfort and fatigue. Besides, Lauren said, “I often wondered if there could be a connection with the food that I was consuming”.

“I had bad bloating, weight gain, no energy and was generally miserable. Therefore, each day was a constant misery as I didn’t know what was causing me to feel like this. I had tried to cut certain foods out and eat healthy meals, but my symptoms were still not changed.”

Welcome to the website of Parkland Natural Health, based in Holborn, Central London. Parkland Natural Health is a Family run business with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Our modern lifestyle based on processed foods, lack of sleep and exercise, as well as ongoing stress, is a crucial reason why so many people suffer from colon toxicity and its many symptoms, including constipation, bloating gas, fatigue, weight gain, excessive mucous, headaches and poor skin.
The Parkland Natural Health services are powerful tools in our detoxification programme to help you regain and sustain health. Correctly administered colonic irrigation treatments represent the most natural, relaxing, painless and effective way to allow your colon and overall body to heal.
We offer colonic hydrotherapy to help you drastically reduce the level of toxicity in your body, alleviate and, in some cases, completely eradicate related symptoms.
