Colon cleansing has historically been promoted using claims that go much further than the available evidence. We believe clients should be given a clearer and more realistic explanation.
No “pounds of old waste” claim
We do not claim that healthy people routinely carry many pounds of hardened faecal material attached to the bowel wall.
No “re-sculpting” of the colon
Colon hydrotherapy does not permanently reshape or “re-educate” the bowel. Anatomy and bowel function cannot be described in those terms.
No whole-body detox claim
We do not describe colon hydrotherapy as removing unspecified toxins from the blood, liver, kidneys or the rest of the body.
One Colonic Is Not “Equivalent to Twenty Enemas”
