Ways to deal with obesity in the complex of therapeutic measures to improve the population in recent years have come to the fore. As the sad medical statistics show, this problem is like a sword of Damocles hanging over modern society. And in most cases, people provoke the occurrence of the disease themselves.
Most often, an unhealthy lifestyle is “guilty” in the occurrence of obesity, by adjusting which, it is entirely possible to return your weight to stable indicators that correspond to the norm.
Overweight and obesity are rightly called the most important, provoking the disease of hypertension. If you have excess weight or the threat of obesity or there are other predisposing circumstances, then this article is for you. We will describe the main ways to deal with obesity.
There are different points of view on what the weight should be like. It is unlikely that a modern fashion model with the body weight of 55 kg and a height of 180 cm is a model that everyone should strive for. How to calculate the stage of obesity and what weight is normal?
The healthy weight is calculated as follows: a person’s height minus 100 + 3 kg for each decade after 30 years. Thus, if a woman, for example, is fifty years old with her height of 164 cm, weighs 70 kg, then this is normal (164 – 100 + 3 + 3 = 70 kg).
It is accepted to distinguish four stages of obesity:

  • Stage 1 – excess weight by 10-29%;
  • Stage 2 – by 30-49%;
  • Stage 3 – by 50-99%;
  • Stage 4 – 100% or more.

In the first and second stages of obesity, the ability to work and the vital activity of patients are not disturbed or only slightly disturbed. The disease is still in its infancy, and it is not always possible to draw a line between “healthy fatness” and the initial stage of obesity.

Diet and physiotherapy are the ways to deal with obesity

The primary method of treating obesity is a strict and long-term observance of a low-calorie diet in combination with a dosed exercise. The caloric content of food should be reduced to 1100 – 1400 kcal per day. Salt should be limited to 2 g per day. You need to use spicy seasonings instead of salt. One of the methods to resist obesity is to limit the amount of free fluid to 1-2 litres per day.
It is recommended to eat more often, such as 4 to 6 times a day, but in small portions, which dulls the feeling of hunger.

Weight loss in obesity is achieved using a low-calorie diet, first of all. Ways to fight obesity in physiotherapy are in second place and play an essential role in complex treatment. Freeing the body from toxins using colonic hydrotherapy will also be useful.
