A Fresh Start Without the Detox Hype
If you are looking for colonic irrigation in Canterbury and are happy to travel into Central London, Parkland Natural Health offers consultation-led colon hydrotherapy at our established Holborn clinic.
Busy periods, travel, changes in eating and disrupted routines can leave some people feeling bloated, heavy or simply ready for a reset. We offer a practical bowel-cleansing experience without claiming that a colonic “detoxifies” your whole body.
Location note: Parkland Natural Health does not operate a clinic in Canterbury. Our clinic is at 239 High Holborn, London WC1V 7EW. This page is for people from Canterbury and nearby areas who are considering travelling to our Central London clinic.
What a “Fresh Start” Can Realistically Mean
Bowel Cleansing
Colon hydrotherapy works directly with water and the contents of the large bowel, supporting evacuation during the session.
Feeling Less Full
Some people report feeling lighter or less full after emptying the bowel. Individual experiences differ, so this should not be presented as a guaranteed outcome.
Resetting Your Routine
For some clients, the appointment becomes a practical point to refocus on hydration, eating patterns and a more regular bowel routine.
Professional Colon Hydrotherapy Since 2005
Consultation-led care, suitability screening and a therapist who remains with you throughout the procedure.
What Happens During Your Appointment?
Parkland uses a closed-system, gravity-fed approach with warm filtered water. Water is introduced gradually, then released with bowel contents and gas through enclosed tubing.
1. Consultation
We discuss why you are considering colon hydrotherapy, relevant health history and whether the procedure is appropriate for you.
2. Gradual Treatment
Your therapist stays with you throughout and adjusts filling and release based on your comfort and response. We may use gentle abdominal massage where appropriate.
3. Afterwards
Most clients continue with their normal day afterwards. You can ask practical questions about food, hydration and your journey home before leaving.
A typical appointment is around 60 minutes including consultation.
What We Mean — and Do Not Mean — by “Detox”
The word “detox” is widely used in wellness marketing, but it can easily imply more than the evidence supports. Colon hydrotherapy acts locally in the large bowel. It does not remove toxins from the bloodstream and does not replace the normal functions of the liver or kidneys.
We therefore do not describe colon hydrotherapy as a treatment for fatigue, skin problems, headaches, fluid retention, depression, hair loss or other unrelated conditions.
Evidence supporting broad commercial detox claims is limited. A more realistic reason to choose colon hydrotherapy is the bowel-cleansing experience itself and the chance to refocus on everyday wellbeing habits.
