What Happens During a Colonic?
Colon hydrotherapy acts within the large bowel. Warm filtered water is introduced gradually, then water and bowel contents leave through the closed system.
The therapist alternates filling and release rather than simply running water continuously. Gentle abdominal massage may also be used where appropriate. This combination allows the session to respond to bowel movement, gas and your feedback during treatment.
